Sweet - Sour Cucumbers with Onions

Ingredients
- 2 cups cucumber thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup onion thinly sliced, I like using red onion
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp dill weed
- 1/4 tsp black pepper cracked
- 1 dash cayenne
Instructions
- Place cucumber slices in a bowl; sprinkle with salt and cover with cold water. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Drain bowl of cucumbers well.
- Add onions.
- Combine vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, sugar, dill weed, cracked black pepper, and cayenne. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Toss lightly.
- Chill 1 hour or longer, tossing occasionally, before serving.
